What Elyndral keeps about you, why, and what you can do about it, in plain words.

In short

Elyndral keeps only what it needs to run your account and the game: your name, your email, your skin and a few technical records. There are no ads, no tracking cookies, and your information is never sold or shared for marketing.

What we keep

  • Your account: your username, your email address, and your password - stored only as a scrambled one-way hash (scrypt), never as the password itself. We can't see your password.
  • Your skin: the picture you upload or choose, shown to other players.
  • Sign-ins: a sign-in token for each device you're logged in on, so you stay signed in. On your computer the launcher keeps only that token, in your system's secure storage, and never your password.
  • Addresses: the internet address a request came from, kept for up to a day, only to stop password guessing and floods.
  • Reports you choose to send: what you wrote and, if you tick the box, the game's log and your computer's details (system, processor, memory). Your computer's user folder is removed from the log before it's sent. The newest 2,000 reports are kept.
  • Benchmark results you choose to send: after Test performance, if you press Send results to Elyndral: the frames a second at each render distance, your graphics card, system, processor and memory, the launcher and game versions, and your account name. They're kept with the reports, to make the game run well on the computers players really have.
  • Servers you play on see your username, your skin and what you do in their worlds, as in any online game. Servers run by other people keep their own records under their own rules.

Why

  • To sign you in, keep your name yours, and let servers check it's really you.
  • To email you a link to confirm your address or reset your password - nothing else, and no newsletters unless you ask for them.
  • To keep the service safe (rate limits) and to fix problems you report.

Who else handles it

  • Brevo sends the confirmation and password-reset emails, so it sees your email address.
  • Cloudflare carries traffic to the website and account service, so it sees requests passing through.
  • That's all. Everything else stays on Elyndral's own server.

Your choices

  • Change your username, password or skin any time in the launcher's Profile.
  • To see what we keep about you, correct it, or have your account deleted, use Report a problem in the Elyndral launcher and say so. We'll do it within 30 days.
  • Don't tick the log box when reporting a problem if you'd rather not send it.

Children

Elyndral is for everyone, but an account needs an email address. If you're under 13, ask a parent or guardian to make the account with you. A parent who thinks their child's account should be removed can use Report a problem in the Elyndral launcher.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes here with a new date, and big changes are announced in the launcher's News.
